District One – Troy
Protecting of quality of life and ensuring strong services for youths and seniors will also be a priority. Kay plans on following the lessons of her friend, Nancy McHugh, who passed away in 2009 and was known for her work on youth, senior and community issues. Kay also learned valuable lessons about compassion during her past work with special needs adults with the Rensselaer ARC. As a lifelong resident of Troy, Kay is working for a better future for the city. She is an active supporter for the Lansingburgh Boys and Girls Club, helping with fundraisers to support the youth organization. Her family also helps sponsor youth athletic teams in Lansingburgh and she is active in the St. Augustine's community. Kay has also worked at Pip's, a popular tavern founded by her husband, who has helped revitalize neighborhoods in Lansingburgh by constructing new homes. She and her husband Kevin are the parents of three sons. |
