Legislator Ken Herrington has been one of the most effective leaders in the region in protecting open space and farmland in Rensselaer County. Thanks to Ken's leadership, nearly 3,000 acres of county farmland have been protection for generations to come.

Ken and his brother Phil operate Herrington Farms, the largest dairy farm in the county. Ken has worked to promote farming and agriculture, which remains the largest business in the county, to help retain and create new jobs.

Improvement and maintenance of county roads is also a priority for Ken. Ken has worked to provide adequate funding for road projects and to provide needed equipment for road projects.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ken has also served on the Brunswick Town Board. He lives on the family farm with his wife Bobbie and their two children.
