District One - Troy

Michael Picarillo is known throughout Troy as someone who keeps streets cleared and protects quality of life in neighborhoods as a supervisor with the city Department of Public Works. Pickles, as he is called by friends across the city, is also known for his generosity in support many charitable events and community organizations.

With the DPW's Action Team, Mike helps respond to snowstorms, removes trash, keeps streets paved and responds to power outages and service interruptions. He helped implement the city's street sweeping program and has earned several awards from local fire and police departments for his work.

Mike has also helped organize fundraisers to support a young veteran who was seriously wounded during her military service in Iraq, a young father and others.

Mike has also supported youth organizations and has been active in the St. Augustine's parish. He and his wife Tami are the parents of four children and two grandchildren.
