District Five - Hoosick, Petersburgh, Grafton, Berlin and Stephentown

Stan Brownell has always stayed true to his hometown as a member of the County Legislature and during previous service on the Hoosick Town Board. Stan has been an effective advocate for residents of eastern Rensselaer County, helping protect needed services for seniors, veterans and youths.

Along with his District 5 colleague, Legislator Lester Goodermote, Stan voted for a 2009 county budget that did not raise property taxes. Stan and Lester also supported fiscal management practices that resulted in the county's credit rating being upgraded.
